From Judge Wayne Mack:
For far too long, behavioral health and suicide prevention has been a silent epidemic in our community and Nation. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for 10 to 34 year old age groups. Will you please join us on May 16th at our first Behavioral Health and Suicide Prevention Task Force Meeting. This will be a call to action to pull down the veil on this public health epidemic as a community.
At this meeting we will begin to identify resources available, building calibration, pull back all the layers of this issue and developing a community response for all of Montgomery County in every area of our society.
EVERY faith lead community of worship, schools, employers, government agencies, non-profit and professional organizations, law enforcement, hospitals and courts need to be equipped and empowered to be a "Triage Center" for giving those in crisis not only hope, but being able to identify and direct the hurting to all resources available to them.
We need every faith and organization represented on May 16th that wants to be a part of the solution. Can I count on you?
R.S.V.P. by emailing email@example.com. (Seating will be limited) so please reply today with how many will be attending from your organization).
